Program Overview

The Faculty was formed on the basis of computer-oriented Department of Numerical Mathematics, Department of Applied Mathematics and Department of Theory of Optimal Processes. The opening of these departments and of the Faculty in general was due to the creation of the Computer Centre at Lviv University in 1959 and the development of scientific research in the sphere of computational mathematics at this centre.
