Curriculum Structure

Year 1 – Foundations of Medicine
In your first year, you begin building the scientific base needed to understand the human body and disease. You study subjects such as Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry, along with introductory clinical skills that help you understand how medicine is practised in real healthcare settings.

Year 2 – Understanding Health and Disease
During the second year, you move deeper into how the body functions and how illnesses develop. Courses such as Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, and Clinical Skills help you connect scientific knowledge with patient care, while you also start learning how to take medical histories and perform basic examinations.

Year 3 – Introduction to Clinical Medicine
In the third year, you transition from classroom learning into hospital-based training. You begin clinical rotations in areas such as Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Community Medicine, where you apply what you have learned to real patient cases under supervision.

Year 4 – Expanding Clinical Experience
Your fourth year focuses on building stronger clinical judgement and confidence. You continue rotations in specialties such as Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Psychiatry, learning how to manage different types of patients and medical conditions.

Year 5 – Advanced Clinical Practice
In your final academic year, you take on greater responsibility in clinical settings. Through rotations in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and advanced hospital departments, you refine your diagnostic skills and prepare for professional medical practice.
