Curriculum Structure

Year 1

In the first year, students build the foundations of nursing and healthcare practice through modules such as Fundamentals of Nursing I, Communication in Health Care, Introduction to Practicum/Simulation Lab, and Human Body System I, alongside general education courses like English Language and Behavioral Sciences & Ethics. These courses equip students with basic clinical reasoning, professional communication skills, and an understanding of human biology and healthcare contexts, setting the groundwork for simulation and early practical exposure.

Year 2

The second year deepens clinical and scientific competence with modules including Health Assessment, First Aid, Emergency & Disaster Nursing, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Fundamentals of Nursing II. Students also begin Practicum I–II, where they apply structured care delivery, assessment and safety principles in guided clinical settings, strengthening their ability to respond to common patient needs.

Year 3

By Year 3, students engage in specialised patient care and critical thinking through courses such as Adult Health Nursing I & II, Mental Health Nursing, Health Informatics, and Nursing Research, complemented by Practicum III–IV clinical rotations. These modules develop students’ expertise in managing complex conditions, integrating psychosocial care, and using evidence and technology in practice.

Year 4

In the final year, the program emphasises advanced clinical practice and leadership with modules like Critical Care Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Maternal & Child Health Nursing, Nursing Management & Leadership, Extended Clinical Practicum, and a Research Project. Students consolidate their skills in independent clinical decision-making, community health promotion, and professional leadership while preparing for licensure requirements and workforce entry.
