Program Overview

If you care about animal health and have an interest in applying scientific principles to improve animal welfare across a range of species, then this is the course for you.You will study a range of modules including anatomy and physiology, animal management, laboratory skills and principles of health and welfare which apply to real life situations. In the second year you will study more specialised topics such as farm, equine and companion animal health, ethics, nutrition, disease and biotechnology.Year 3 is a full placement year in industry as part of your degree, enabling you to put knowledge into practice, develop your network and discover your future ambitions. When you return from placement you will enter Year 4 where you will carry out a scientific investigation of your choice, alongside core and optional modules to further your interests.
