Program Overview

BSc Digital Design develops specialist skills in the creation of visuals and graphics for digital solutions such as web and mobile applications or motion graphics.This programme will prepare you for creative roles in the expanding digital industry. By undertaking studio-based projects, you will realise your design ambitions using industry standard design and prototyping software. Throughout the programme, you will acquire the necessary technology skills and user-centered design thinking to create digital solutions for a variety of media including websites, motion graphics and mobile applications.You will be introduced to user psychology and learn how to apply techniques and skills in user experience and user interface design to create functional and beautiful digital products. You will also have the opportunity to understand how design can have social impact and learn how to apply your skills to tackle challenging issues facing today's society.The programme provides opportunities to partner with industry and enterprise on real and/or simulated design briefs ensuring that you experience the culture, pace and demands of industry and are well prepared for employment.

Year 3 For individuals applying with a College Higher National Diploma (HND), a minimum grade of BB in one of the following fields is typically expected: Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visual Communication, Graphic Design for Print and New Media, Interactive Media, Digital Design and Development, Web Development, or Computer Arts and Design. All applicants will be required to submit a digital portfolio, which will be assessed to determine their creative potential, motivation, and suitability for the course. The portfolios may undergo a shortlisting process, leading to interviews with a smaller group of applicants. Regarding English language proficiency, a minimum overall IELTS score of 6.0 is typically required, with no individual element falling below 5.5.
