You ll explore photographic technique, and studio practice, learning how to process and edit images. You ll look at photography on location and how to professionally curate and exhibit photography, as well as how to promote and publish it. We ll also guide you through key legal, ethical and cultural aspects of photography, applying these to taking, editing, exhibiting or selling photographic images. You'll work in fully equipped on-campus studios which include tethered Macs, industry-standard lighting and backdrops, a props store, product shooting table and changing room. Our comprehensive dark room features eight enlargers and printing and processing facilities. We also offer free equipment loans to students through our Media Centre so you don't need to worry about the cost of high-spec professional DSLR and analogue cameras and accessories.
For the old GCSE system we require grade C or above and for the new GCSE grading system we will accept grade 4 or higher in both English Language and Maths, A Levels, BTECs and accredited Access courses, value highly the experience you illustrate in your personal statement, IELTS 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
