Program Overview

Our BA Music degree is a broad-based course combining theory and practice in a wide range of genres and styles.As performer, composer/arranger, and musicologist, you’ll encounter an eclectic repertoire: music of different cultures and traditions, past and present, as well as the established ‘canon’ of Western music. You’ll also and have the chance to meet and talk to an impressive variety of creative practitioners and professionals, some as part of our teaching team.You’ll rehearse, perform, and record in some of the most inspiring spaces in the country, including dedicated sound design labs, fine concert spaces within the University, and beautiful venues in the city, including Canterbury Cathedral.
