The programme caters for wide ranging interests and potential specialisms, and we take a hands on, practical approach to our teaching. You will learn how to record, engineer and produce music; design sound for film, TV and games; compose music for the moving image; create sample libraries; understand studio technologies and infrastructure; and have the opportunity to work on live professional film projects. This degree programme will enable you to start your career across a number of industries utilising audio and music technologies.
A recognised and relevant foundation/Access course (minimum pass mark for a UK-based foundation programme is usually 55%), Higher Secondary School Certificate with a minimum score of 60%, High School Diploma (to age 18) where it is deemed equivalent to A Levels (3 A Level passes at BBC/BBC), An International Baccalaureate (28 points), EDEXCEL BTEC National Diploma (MMM-DMM), IELTS 6.0 overall with no component less than 5.5 (or equivalent).
Careers Gaming, TV, Film and Advertising all require audio technology related expertise.
