The vision is to create thinking musicians , so this applied practice-led degree will also develop your repertoire knowledge, analytic and critical thinking, and key transferable skills, such as how to conduct research, give presentations and work in collaborative and interdisciplinary ways. You will study contemporary and professional music industry practice, preparing you for a broad range of careers in the contemporary and computer-based music industry. Upon graduation, you will have a strong portfolio of works that will help you in your career, and the skills necessary to create new works for a broad range of media.
A-level Overall: BBB, Required subjects: Music or Music Technology at Grade B. Applicants with a strong Music background who are not taking one of the required subjects may be considered subject to interview. ABRSM Grade 5 Theory or equivalent is recommended. IELTS of 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each band. International Baccalaureate Overall: 32, Required subjects: HL5/SL6 in Music or Music Technology. ABRSM Grade 5 Theory or equivalent is recommended. Minimum percentage required (12 standard or HSC) 70%.
