The BA Fine Art program offers an opportunity to explore the contemporary methods of fine arts in a variety of areas such as printmaking, sculpture, installation, photography, video, and digital arts. The course is designed to provide a supportive studio environment that fosters the artistic voice of students by encouraging them to learn from their unique experiences and interests. The first-year modules of the program provide an opportunity to gain confidence and experience with various media and concepts and develop a personal practice, which is then enhanced over the next two years. Throughout the program, students receive support through tutorials, seminars, study visits, and opportunities to participate in live projects, competitions, and exhibitions.
To enroll in the Fine Art program at the University of Northampton, standard entry requirements must be met, which includes achieving BCC at A Level, DMM at BTEC, or Pass (C and above) at T Level. In addition, applicants should have studied art or a relevant subject at A Level, BTEC or equivalent, and can submit a portfolio of their own work in Art and Design for review during the application process. For those with a relevant HND or Foundation Degree, admission to year two or three of the course may be possible. English language requirements are IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5.5 in all bands for undergraduate level study. Integrated Foundation Year entry requirements include achieving DEE at A Level, MPP at BTEC, or Pass (D or E) at T Level.
