The BA (Hons) Sports Business Management at Keele University offers a comprehensive education tailored to the fast-growing global sports industry. Combining in-depth knowledge of the sports sector with critical business disciplines, this program equips students with the skills needed for careers in sports management, marketing, events, sponsorship, and development.

Course overview:

  • Year 1: Professional and Academic Development 1, The Business of Organisations, Data, Decisions and Visualisation, along with an optional module

  • Year 2: Professional and Academic Development 2, Contemporary Business Operations, Leisure, Sport and Society: Sustainability, Politics and Communities, along with optional modules which includes an optional Individual Placement Module
  • Year 3: Professional and Academic Development 3, Strategic Management, Project, along with optional modules which include Individual Placement Module or Digital Showcase

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

  • Work Placement Year: Optional 30-week placement in sports businesses, marketing agencies, or events management firms (subject to visa conditions).

  • International Year: Study at global partner universities for a semester or full academic year.

  • Entrepreneurship Year: Build and launch a sports-related business with support from Keele’s Smart Innovation Hub.

  • Optional Digital Showcase in your final year as well as a Project
