The BA (Hons) Business & Management at Leeds Beckett University equips students with the skills and knowledge to thrive in modern global business environments. Taught at the university’s central Rose Bowl building, this course emphasizes real-world learning through live projects, guest lectures, and access to simulation suites that hone leadership and teamwork abilities.

A placement year is available between the second and final year, with reduced tuition fees during the placement.   • You’ll apply your knowledge through case studies, internships, study abroad, volunteering, and national competitions, while also developing entrepreneurial skills and the option to specialise in finance, enterprise, marketing, or law.​

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

  • Entrepreneurial Support: Leeds Business School offers specialized support for aspiring entrepreneurs through The Hatchery, which provides co-working space, mentoring, and networking opportunities to help students transform their business ideas into successful ventures.
  • Networking with Industry: Leeds Business School maintains strong industry links within the city and the wider region, providing students with various opportunities to enhance their employability skills. Students will engage with real businesses through live projects, chair discussions, and guest lectures. Past speakers have included the CEO of the London Stock Exchange, the Chief Executive of the British Bankers Association, and the Chief Economist of Yorkshire Bank.
  • Developing Practical Experience: students can apply their knowledge in real-world settings through an optional year-long industry placement. This placement offers invaluable industry experience, contributing to their career readiness.
  • The Hatchery: allows students to turn their business ideas into successful ventures, with the added benefit of mentoring from advisors and resident entrepreneurs.
