The BA (Hons) Global Communication with Business Management at UEA explores how successful communication transcends cultural and linguistic barriers and how global companies manage diverse workforces. Course Overview:

Year 1:
Build a foundation in intercultural communication and business management through core and optional modules. Explore the evolving business landscape, study language and culture, and select from modules on media, humanitarian communication, or an applied business project.

Year 2:
Begin to specialise in global communication and deepen your understanding of media, corporations, and political ideologies. Choose business-focused modules like management, organisation, or marketing, alongside intercultural communication electives in global cultures, language and society, or digital media. Optional language study and a spring semester abroad are available.

Year 3:
Apply your knowledge to real-world intercultural business contexts. Develop leadership and problem-solving skills in a global framework, and choose from advanced modules in business ethics, brand management, or language analysis. You can also undertake a dissertation under expert supervision.

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

  • Students have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad at a partner university during the spring semester of their second year, allowing them to practice and enhance their intercultural communication skills in a real-world setting.
