Program Overview

The BSc (Hons) Business Analytics at Edge Hill University equips students with analytical, technical and business skills to interpret data and drive decision-making in modern organisations. It suits students interested in business, statistics, data technology and analytics, preparing them for roles across finance, tech, retail, logistics and more. 

Curriculum structure:
Year 1 — Students engage with modules such as Business Environment, Introduction to Business Analytics, Introduction to Business Finance, Principles of Microeconomics and Statistics for Economics. These modules introduce how businesses operate, the fundamentals of financial and economic reasoning, and foundational statistical tools used in analytics. 
Year 2 — Core modules like Analytics and Visualisation for Managers, Finance and Performance Management, Tools for Business Analysis, and the Work Placement module build students’ ability to apply data visualisation techniques, understand financial performance, use analytics tools, and gain real-world business experience.
Year 3 — In this final year, students study The Future of Business: Tech, Data and Artificial Intelligence, and choose from options such as Business Intelligence, Strategic Finance, Enterprise Management, Global Supply Chain Management, Marketing and Society, or Development Economics. These modules enable exploration of advanced analytics, AI in business, and strategic decision-making, and are often supported by a Live Project or Graduate Enterprise of real business relevance.
