Program Overview

The BSc (Hons) Business Analytics and Management at University of East Anglia (UEA) combines data-analytics expertise with core business and management understanding, preparing students to turn data into strategic insight across organisations. Curriculum structure:
Year 1 – Students begin with modules like Managing Organisations, Principles of Business and Economics, and Business Analytics Foundations, where they learn how businesses are structured, the economic context of business and begin developing analytics skills. Through these units they gain an introduction to data handling, statistical reasoning and business thinking in preparation for deeper study.
Year 2 – In the second year students progress into units such as Data-Driven Decision Making, Operations and Supply Chains and Business Analytics in Practice, where they apply analytics methods to real-world business problems, examine how operations and supply chains can be optimised and gain practical experience using analytics tools. They start to integrate management theory with data-driven strategy.

Year 3In your third year, you’ll spend a year working in industry.
Year 4 – In the final year students draw together their skills in advanced modules like Strategic Analytics and Innovation, Global Business Analytics and the Business Analytics Capstone Project, where they address complex business challenges, explore innovation through analytics and complete a major individual project investigating an analytics-led business issue.
