The three year honours degree in international business is accredited by QQI and is placed at level 8 on the National Qualifications Framework. The programme focuses on the international aspects of business, especially the challenges of operating in the dynamic global environment. This is achieved by combining a mix of theory, practice and work experience. Lectures are interactive environments where students are encouraged to exchange ideas and opinions. There is a strong emphasis on developing the student’s personal skills such as public speaking and debating. This is supported by the culturally diverse learning environment at American College Dublin with a student body drawn from over sixty countries. On completion of the third year students gain invaluable work experience by undertake an eight-week internship in a multinational firm.
The College accepts students from further education colleges to all of its courses. Students must have gained three distinctions in a cognate area of the degree programme that they wish to study. Students must have a full level 5 or level 6 award and this award may have been taken over a number of years.IELTS score of 6.5 (or equivalent).
