The BA (Hons) International Business with Foundation at Regent's University London is designed for students who want to build strong academic and business foundations before specialising in international business. The Foundation Year introduces students to university-level business through modules including Business I: Enterprise in Action – Fundamentals in Context, Business II: Enterprise in Action – Rising to the Challenge, Writing for Success at University, and Critical Thinking. Students launch and manage a live business start-up, explore marketing, finance, business planning, and leadership while strengthening academic writing, research, communication, teamwork, and analytical skills for successful progression to degree-level study.

Year 1

Students develop a strong understanding of international business through modules including Learning Perspectives, Organisational Culture and Reputation, Money, Finance and Decisions, and Managing International Ventures. They explore how organisations operate across borders by managing international stakeholders, global workforces, international partnerships, and cross-cultural business relationships while developing knowledge of markets, finance, and legal frameworks.

Year 2

The second year focuses on international management through modules such as International Strategy, Global Business Environments, and Cross-Cultural Management. Students examine international trade, global expansion strategies, emerging markets, international leadership, and global supply chains while applying their knowledge through an Industry Challenge, Entrepreneurial Challenge, optional Placement, or Study Abroad opportunity.

Year 3

In the final year, students strengthen their strategic leadership capabilities through Disruptive Strategies and Models, International Business Strategy, and the two-part Major Project. They investigate digital transformation, geopolitical change, sustainable international business, and global innovation while completing an independent consultancy or research project that reflects their professional ambitions in international business.

  • Complete the Industry Challenge module, working on live consultancy-style projects where teams analyse international business problems, develop strategic solutions, and present recommendations that reflect real business practice.
  • Choose the Entrepreneurial Challenge module to develop an international business concept, validate global market opportunities, prepare a commercial business plan, and pitch innovative ideas to academic and industry audiences.
  • Undertake an optional professional placement, gaining hands-on experience with multinational corporations, international consultancies, financial organisations, start-ups, NGOs, or global enterprises while applying classroom learning in professional environments.
