Program Overview

This three-year degree combines specialist training in marketing with event management, embedding real-world practice at its core. Year 1
You’ll begin by developing key marketing and event fundamentals, studying modules like Developing Marketing Skills, Marketing in Context, Developing & Planning Events, Context of Global Hospitality, delivering a Charity Event, and core business subjects such as Accounting & Financial Information and Marketing Research. A choice of optional modules like Creativity for Marketing, Digital Technology, or Global Business Communications helps broaden your skills.

Year 2
This year builds your knowledge with modules such as Principles of Event Marketing, Managing the Sustainable Event Project, Festival & Cultural Events Management, Integrated Marketing Communications, Digital Marketing, and Research Methods. Options include creativity and innovation, sustainability, and customer experience modules.

Year 3
You spend this year either completing a professional placement or, if staying in full-time study, take modules including Professional Practice for Events Managers, Events Industry Insights, and a Dissertation in Events Management. Optional modules may include Contemporary Consumer Behaviour, International Marketing, Campaign Management, Marketing Analytics, and Responsible Leadership.
