The MEng Computer Systems Engineering with a Year in Industry (Hons) at Royal Holloway, University of London is a five-year, full-time integrated Master’s degree offered by the Departments of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science. Curriculum structure:

Year 1

Year 2

Students undertake Embedded Systems Creative Team Project 2 while also covering Computer and Network Security, Introduction to Information Security, and Software Engineering for Electronics. Year 3
Year 3 emphasises advanced applications and independent study. Students complete a substantial Individual Project while studying specialist modules such as Digital Signal Processing Design, Principles of Engineering Management, Digital Systems Design, and Advanced Communications Systems. Year 5
In Year 5, the MEng extends your study to advanced systems design and innovation. Core modules include the Team Project and Agile Engineering, where you work collaboratively on industry-relevant challenges. Optional pathways allow you to tailor your expertise, with opportunities to explore Advanced Distributed Systems, Deep Learning, Computational Optimisation, Digital Forensics, Data Analysis, and Pattern Recognition.
