3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program
UEL’s unique three-year programme combines computing fundamentals with school-based teaching experience, enabling you to qualify to teach computer science without needing a postgraduate PGCE. This program combines rigorous computer science education with practical teacher training, preparing graduates to teach computing in secondary schools while maintaining strong industry-relevant technical skills.

You'll build a solid technical foundation through lectures, labs, and professional development sessions. You will also begin observing and practicing teaching in real classroom settings.

Optional Placement Year
Take a year out between Years 2 and 3 for an industrial placement. Supported by a dedicated careers team, you gain practical, on-the-job training in a computing role that enhances confidence and employability.
Year 3 (Final Year)
In your final year you'll specialize and complete an individual capstone project, with professional development content and complete Active Enquiry—an independent educational research project—and conclude with School-Based Training 3 alongside.

95% Coursework & Practical Work:
Programming assignments, lab reports, individual and group projects, portfolios, and presentations.
