By enrolling in this course, you will acquire a comprehensive understanding of esports, covering areas such as promotion, coaching, as well as the sociology and psychology of esports. You will explore the growth and development of the esports sector and gain practical experience in designing and organizing esports events.
The course will also delve into the social benefits that arise from promoting esports, and you will have the chance to specialize your studies, focusing on community engagement for educational promotion or enhancing health and well-being through esports.
Professional work placements are an integral part of this degree program, enabling you to gain hands-on experience in promoting and organizing esports events. This practical exposure will allow you to consider real-world applications and explore ways to promote inclusivity among diverse populations.
Throughout your studies, you will develop a deep knowledge and understanding of how esports can contribute to educational achievement, event planning and management, the interaction between players and computer software and hardware, and the utilization of esports to support physical and mental health and well-being.
For the old GCSE system we require grade C or above and for the new GCSE grading system we will accept grade 4 or higher in both English Language and Maths, A Levels, BTECs and accredited Access courses, value highly the experience you illustrate in your personal statement, IELTS 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
