Year 1

Year 2

Through modules like How Children Learn 2, Developing the Core Curriculum, and Developing the Wider Curriculum, students deepen their understanding of teaching English, Mathematics and Science, and learn to design engaging lessons across the wider curriculum. Block School Experience 2 provides a longer placement, allowing them to take on increased teaching responsibility under guided mentorship.
Year 3
In the final year, students refine their teaching practice and focus on a chosen subject area through the Subject Specialism module. They strengthen their mastery of primary teaching through Consolidating the Core Curriculum and Consolidating the Wider Curriculum, ensuring they are ready for full classroom leadership. Their final placement, Block School Experience 3, involves acting as lead teacher and managing up to 80% of classroom teaching, preparing them for professional practice.
