In the construction sector, as a project manager, your role encompasses overseeing various aspects, including concepts, designs, operations, commissioning, client communication, and project coordination on construction sites.
Our Project Management for Construction degree program is accredited and developed in collaboration with industry partners. It offers a comprehensive learning experience by incorporating site visits, field trips, practical lab work, and access to specialized equipment and technology such as Building Information Modelling (BIM). These hands-on experiences aim to enhance your technical, managerial, and communication skills and provide a realistic understanding of the industry.
Throughout your studies, you will collaborate with students from related courses on projects that simulate professional working environments. In addition, visiting lecturers, who are industry experts, contribute their insights, providing you with valuable perspectives on working in the field.
Moreover, the program offers the option of a work placement year, enabling you to solidify your learning and gain practical experience while expanding your professional network of contacts.
For A-levels or BTEC qualifications, the entry requirements typically range from A-level BBB–BCC (120–104 UCAS Tariff points) or BTEC Extended Diploma DMM–MMM. Conditional offers offered by the institution generally fall within this range. Regarding the International Baccalaureate, a minimum of 26 points is required, with three subjects at the Higher level. For Access to HE Diploma, a pass is necessary with 60 credits overall. Out of these, at least 45 credits should be at level 3, with 24 credits at merit or above. In the case of T-level qualifications, a merit in the Design, Surveying, and Planning T-level is accepted. Other T-level subjects are not considered. For GCSE qualifications, a minimum grade of C or grade 4 is required in English language, maths, and science. Applicants with a foundation degree or HND may be considered for direct entry into the second year of the program. International foundation qualifications may also be taken into account. Regarding English language proficiency, an overall IELTS score of 6.0 is necessary, with no element scoring below 5.5.
