BSc Aerospace Engineering

Kingston University offers students exposure to state-of-the-art facilities at the Roehampton Vale campus, including wind tunnels, flight simulators, and a rocket propulsion test lab. Students carry out hands-on projects, such as designing and testing a drone and a rocket engine, that provide experiential learning to complement theoretical learning. The curriculum encourages participation in competitions and industry-related projects, enhancing teamwork and problem-solving skills. There is an optional year of industrial placement, which allows students to develop practical skills in the aerospace industry, further increasing employability.

The BEng (Hons) Aerospace Engineering graduates are well-placed to work in the aerospace and space sectors. Graduates have found employment with leading organizations such as Boeing, Airbus, Rolls-Royce, and the European Space Agency. The career services offered by the university consist of individual guidance, mock interviews, and CV workshops. Career fairs and on-campus recruitment events are available to allow interaction with prospective employers. Students can also pursue postgraduation in aerospace, astronautics or allied fields, adding further to their professional careers.
