The Biomedical Engineering programmes are informed by our internationally renowned Centre for Biomedical Engineering which gives you access to the latest pioneering techniques. You will also benefit from Surrey s new 12.5m Innovation for Health Learning Laboratory, and experience visits to clinical and industrial centres, particularly in your final year. The strength of the programme comes from our breadth of teaching and strong applied, clinical focus. This is not just limited to hips and knees , but includes human movement, biosensors, prosthesis design and signal processing, as well as core topics such as implant technology.
A-level Overall: ABB, required subjects: Mathematics and physics. Alternatively, two other science subjects can be accepted in place of physics. Suitable science subjects include further maths; biology; chemistry; environmental science; geology; geography; computing; computer science; design and technology; economics; statistics; product design; psychology and electronics. IELTS of 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each band. International Baccalaureate Overall: 33, Required subjects: HL5/SL6 in Mathematics (Analysis and approaches at HL/SL or Applications and interpretation at HL) and Physics. Minimum percentage required (12 standard or HSC) 70%.
