The BEng (Hons) Biomedical Engineering at UEL offers students a multidisciplinary foundation that blends engineering principles with healthcare applications.   • Year 1: Engineering Principles, Applied Mathematics & Computing, Thermofluids, Engineering Materials

  • Year 2: Functional Anatomy, Engineering Desing and Analysis, Advanced Mathematics and Modelling, Applied Electronics, Biomechanics of Human Movement

  • Year 3: Capstone Project, Biofluid Mechanics & CFD, Design of Mechatronics Systems, Applied Physiology

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

  • Placement Year: Optional industry placement year to gain professional experience.

  • Capstone Project: Final year research or product development project with healthcare applications.

  • Industry Mentoring: Supported by professional engineers through UEL’s industry partnerships.
