Curriculum Structure
Year 1: Students gain foundations in Structural Mechanics 1, Civil Engineering Systems 1, and Architecture and Environment 1, developing both analytical and design perspectives.
Year 2: Learning advances with Structural Mechanics 2, Materials and Construction 2, and Architecture and Environment 2, alongside design studio work that applies theory.
Year 3: Students deepen their expertise through Steel and Concrete Design 3, Structural Analysis 3, and an Architectural Design Studio, integrating engineering principles with creative solutions.
Year 4: Advanced modules such as Structural Design for Fire and Earthquakes, Architectural Design Project, and Professional Issues for Civil Engineers prepare students for professional practice. An Individual Research Project further develops independent skills.
Year 5: The final year emphasises advanced practice with a Multidisciplinary Group Design Project, alongside specialist modules like Advanced Structural Analysis, Sustainable Construction, and Architectural Integration.
