Modules including Leadership and Management: Fundamentals of Practice, Manufacturing Systems, Entrepreneurship 2, Modelling of Engineering Systems, Solid Mechanics, Introduction to Economics and Company Finance, and the Entrepreneurship and Management Challenge Project help students understand how engineering projects are planned, managed and delivered in professional environments.

Year 3
The third year focuses on applying engineering and management skills to complex industrial situations. Students study modules such as Operations Management, Decision Making Systems and Decision Theory, Industrial Awareness and Problem Solving, Management and Leadership, Quality Control and Improvement, Introduction to Design for Sustainability, and the Entrepreneurship and Management Design and Build Projects, allowing them to develop practical solutions through research, design and teamwork.

Year in Industry (Optional)
Students can choose the MEng Engineering and Management with Year in Industry option, which includes a professional placement year. This provides valuable workplace experience, allowing students to apply engineering and management principles in real organisations, develop professional skills and build industry connections before graduation.

Final Year
The final year allows students to explore advanced engineering management concepts and complete a major individual project. Students undertake the MEng Individual Investigative Project and study Sustainable Manufacturing, alongside specialist modules such as Agile, Lean and Competitive Enterprise, Smart Production Systems, Supply Chain Quality Management, Modelling, Simulation and Machine Learning for Operations Management, Sustainable Operations and Supply Chains, and Intellectual Property for Engineering Innovation.
