The BEng Mechanical Engineering degree at Queen’s University Belfast provides a thorough experiential learning structure that combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on engineering skills. 

Year in Industry: Students can participate in a paid industrial placement in their third year. This position enables students to utilize their academic learning in a professional environment, acquire hands-on experience, and receive a paycheck. The university assists students in obtaining placements that must be a minimum of 30 weeks and commence by the end of September. ​
