Students on the course will be acquainted with a variety of critical perspectives and analytical methods both specific to the two areas of study of their degree and operating between them. The course aims to foster an independent approach to formulating problems and arguments, using the close reading and analytical skills that are fundamental to the disciplines of English in combination with the specific theories and practices of Media and Communications.
