In the first year you will study Victorian, Modern, and Contemporary Literatures that will allow you to read both canonical writers, and brilliant but less well-known figures. You will also be introduced to the fascinating and fast-changing world of Literary Criticism. Your first year experience will also engage with a combination of writers you have enjoyed previously, and you will also be able to experience from modules in other areas including Language, Creative Writing, and Drama. In your second year, you will study a core set of modules on Literary History, taking you from the Renaissance to the Romantics.
A recognised and relevant foundation/Access course (minimum pass mark for a UK-based foundation programme is usually 55%), Higher Secondary School Certificate with a minimum score of 60%, High School Diploma (to age 18) where it is deemed equivalent to A Levels (3 A Level passes at BBB/CCC) including Higher Mathematics at 5, An International Baccalaureate (28 points), EDEXCEL BTEC National Diploma (DDM-DMM), IELTS 6.0 overall with no component less than 5.5 (or equivalent).
