Environmental matters are a key consideration for any company. Environmental management graduates understand the impact on the environment of construction and regeneration and the need for the effective management of waste, energy, land resources and social issues.The programme is unique in providing you with an opportunity to focus on personal interests within a variety of specialisms, ranging from waste management, geographical information systems, contaminated land, social inclusion, enhancing the countryside, energy efficiency and transport policy.You will have the opportunity to carry out a work placement in the UK or in Europe, as well as opportunities for industrial placements in India and America. The programme is accredited by the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM), the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE), and the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA). On completion of this course, you will automatically qualify for GradIEMA status which is a professionally recognised grade in the marketplace.
Scottish Higher: Achieve grades BBBB, and if not achieved at Higher level, a minimum of grade C in National 5 English and Maths.
Minimum entry requirement: Attain grades ABCC, with a requirement of at least grade C in National 5 English and Maths.
A level: Obtain grades CCC, and if not achieved at A level, obtain a minimum of grade C/4 in GCSE English and Maths.
ILC Higher: Attain grades H2 H2 H3 H3, and if not achieved at Higher level, obtain a minimum of grade O2 in English and Maths.
IB Diploma: Score a minimum of 26 points, including a grade 4 in Maths.
BTEC: Complete an Extended Diploma with grades MMM in a relevant subject, and obtain a minimum of grade C/4 in GCSE English and Maths.
SWAP: Access to STEM program requires BBB grades.
English language proficiency: Achieve an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no score below 5.5.
