Greek is an independent branch of the Indo-European family of languages, native to Greece and other parts of the Eastern Mediterranean. It has the longest documented history of any living Indo-European language, spanning 34 centuries of written records. Advanced study of representative Greek prose, poetry and drama in the original from independence to the present. The course combines the study of the Greek language with readings, analysis and discussion of major literary works.With the opportunity to learn Latin and the chance to study the classical world through artefacts, ideas and past-deeds, there s lots to learn on this course.
