Curriculum Structure
Year 1 (Level 4)
Your first year sets the foundations. You’ll explore Principles of Human Nutrition, Biochemistry and Metabolism, Exercise Physiology 1, and Physical Activity and Health 1, alongside Professional Practice 1 for Nutrition and Sport Nutrition. This year helps you understand how the body works, how nutrients fuel performance, and builds essential research and professional skills.
Year 2 (Level 5)
In Year 2, you dive deeper into applied and social aspects of nutrition. Modules such as Food Technology and Development, Eating Behaviour for Sport and Health, Policy and Politics for Nutrition and Health, and Research Methods 2 teach you how nutrition works in real-world contexts, from food production to behaviour and public health policy. You’ll also continue to develop practical skills to support athletes and active communities.
Year 3 (Level 6)
Your final year focuses on advanced knowledge and independent research. You’ll study Applied Practice in Sport and Nutrition for Health, Advanced Topics in Sport, Food and Nutrition for Health, Nutrition – Future Challenges, and complete a Research Project. There’s also the option to study abroad, giving you a global perspective on sport nutrition and health.
