Program Overview

The University of East London (UEL) offers a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management, designed to equip students with a thorough understanding of the hospitality industry, including hotel operations, event management, food and beverage services, and customer experience. The program blends theoretical knowledge with practical skills, preparing graduates for dynamic careers in hotels, resorts, restaurants, and other hospitality-related businesses.

The program is structured across three years:

Year 1: Students build a strong foundation in core hospitality concepts, including introduction to the hospitality sector, customer service principles, business communication, and management fundamentals. Year 2: Focus shifts to specialized hospitality modules such as food and beverage management, front office operations, events and conference management, and marketing in hospitality. Year 3: Students undertake advanced management and strategic modules, including financial management for hospitality, human resources, and sustainability in hospitality. The year culminates in a capstone project or research dissertation, allowing students to apply their knowledge to a real-world industry problem or innovative hospitality concept.
