This course is one of the best-established sport science degrees in the UK and retains a leading reputation for its innovative approach to learning as well as its provision of resources and facilities.
The entry requirements for A-levels or BTEC are within the range of A-level BBB–BCC (120–104 UCAS Tariff points), or BTEC Extended Diploma DDM–DMM. Typically, our conditional offers are in line with these grades. Applicants who have a combination of A-levels and BTEC qualifications will receive offers based on the grades specified above. For the International Baccalaureate, a minimum of 30 points is required, with at least three subjects studied at the Higher level. To meet the requirements for the Access to HE Diploma, a pass is necessary, with a total of 60 credits overall. Among these credits, at least 45 must be at level 3, with 24 credits at the distinction level and 21 credits at merit level or higher. For T-levels, a merit grade in the Healthcare Science or Science T-level is accepted. Other T-levels are not considered for admission. If you have previous qualifications, Higher Education (HE) credits, or relevant experience, they may be taken into account for your course at Brighton. This could result in exemptions from certain course components or allow you to start in the second or third year. Regarding English language proficiency, an overall IELTS score of 6.0 is required, with a minimum score of 5.5 in each individual element.
