BSc (Hons) Sport Coaching with Foundation Year

If you want to prepare for a career related to sport coaching, then our course will help you develop the practical skills and scientific knowledge to help you achieve your career goal.During the foundation year, you'll develop a grounding in scientific principles, practical skills and the application of science to sport coaching. You'll learn in a highly supportive environment where you can develop your self-confidence, knowledge and skills.You'll develop strong analytical and research skills, and gain plenty of hands-on experience in our dedicated labs, specialist equipment includes eye tracker technology, brain imaging equipment (EEG), reaction timers, gas analysis systems, cardiac screening equipment, 3D imaging; isokinetic and balance dynamometry, sprint timing systems and other sport/exercise related equipment, such as treadmills and weights.
