You'll delve into the theories and contexts of esports, develop strategic planning knowhow, learn end-to-end production skills, and explore branding, marketing and promotion. You'll also gain an understanding of the financial, legal and ethical considerations of the industry.Esports is a brand new and thriving field at the forefront of new media. With a focus on media production, livestreaming and teamworking, this course will prepare you to drive the future of this fast-evolving industry.Working in a purpose-built esports studio within Falmouth's world-renowned Games Academy, you'll get hands-on experience of advanced livestreaming setups and broadcasts for esports events. Your practical work will be backed by a grounding in business, financial and legal considerations, marketing, branding, live events and games culture.
A placement year can be taken before the final year.
