Program Overview

The BASES endorsed Performance Sailing progamme is built on strong foundations as we were one of the first institutions in the UK to develop a sports related degree programme and have a 20 year collaborative programme of research and physiological monitoring between the Royal Yachting Association. You can choose to specialise in one of the core Sport and Exercise Science disciplines alongside bespoke modules tailored towards high performance sailing and delivered by experts in their respective fields.

Additional Information & Requirements

Admission Criteria UCAS: A minimum of 112-120 tariff points is required. A Levels: Grades BBB - BBC are accepted, with the inclusion of a science subject. Physical Education (PE) is accepted at a grade of C or above. BTEC: Grades DDM - DMM are accepted, with the inclusion of Sports Science. GCSEs: A minimum grade of C/4 or better is required in English Language, Science, and Maths. IELTS: An overall score of 6.0 is required, with no individual element lower than 5.5. IB: A minimum of 28 points is required. Access to HE Diploma: A pass is required, with at least 12 credits of science units at a Merit level.
