Foundation Year (Year 0):
This introductory year helps students gain essential study skills and a basic understanding of business and tourism concepts. Modules often focus on academic writing, critical thinking, numeracy for business, and an introduction to business and tourism environments.
Year 1:
Students are introduced to the fundamentals of business management and tourism studies. This includes subjects like business environments, marketing principles, global tourism trends, and an introduction to finance and operations. The focus is on building a strong base in both tourism and business management.
Year 2:
The second year goes deeper into applying knowledge in real-world contexts. Students learn about consumer behaviour in tourism, strategic marketing, digital business, and tourism operations management. Practical case studies, group projects, and simulated problem-solving exercises form a large part of the learning process, encouraging critical thinking and teamwork.
Year 3 (Final Year):
In the final year, students refine their expertise and apply their learning to advanced areas such as sustainable tourism management, strategic business decision-making, leadership, and global destination management. Students also complete an independent research project or dissertation, which allows them to investigate a specific topic in business or tourism aligned with their career goals.
