Royal Holloway University of LondonAncient History offers the opportunity to study the history of Greece and Rome in the Classical period (600 BCE to 700 CE). Over three years student will delve into the politics, events and developments underpinning our understanding of many aspects of historical societies and, indeed, our own culture. Students will look at the work of some of the most ground breaking philosophers of the period, such Ren Descartes and John Locke, and consider how later philosophers such as Gottfried Leibniz and David Hume took up and expanded their ideas.
