It’s perfect for those who love storytelling, technology and innovation, and want to work at the intersection of art, media and digital culture.
Curriculum Structure
Year 1
In your first year you’ll build a strong foundation in media practice and theory. You’ll explore modules such as Understanding Digital Media, Web Production and Digital Imaging, learning essential skills in audio-visual creation, editing and web technologies. You’ll also begin to think about media audiences, context and project planning as you work on hands-on media projects.
Year 2
In the second year your work becomes more exploratory and conceptually ambitious. You’ll dive into courses such as Video Production, Virtual Reality Production and Media & Society, blending technical experimentation with cultural, ethical and legal considerations. Group work, cross-disciplinary collaborations and industry-inspired briefs help you deepen both your creative vision and practical abilities.
Year 3
In your final year you’ll pull everything together in a major project or dissertation (or internship), often under the Future Media Project / Dissertation / Internship module. You may specialise further in areas like interactive media, XR, or advanced film and narrative production. This year is about polishing your portfolio, shaping your creative identity and preparing for a career or further study.
