This course develops competent, skilled operating department practitioners and has been designed to meet the national pre-registration curriculum in partnership with the local National Health Service acute Trusts and the private sector. Work-based learning is a key component and you will develop practical skills in safe, simulated teaching environments. You will also be supervised in using these skills in practice in one of our placement provider operating theatres.
This course isn't currently open to International and EU students. UCAS points – 112–120 points from 3 A levels, or equivalent, to include 32 points from a Science subject (Biology, Human Biology, Chemistry, Applied Science, Sports Science, PE)All shortlisted applicants are subject to interview. All offers are subject to Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance and Occupational Health clearance An average of 70% or above in the 12 Standard (Central Board) examinations or 75% in the State Board.
