This course will help you develop into a competent midwife who s able to work as a team member or leader. Your time will be divided equally between classroom study and supervised placements. You ll learn to assess individual women and to plan, implement and evaluate care that meets the needs of mother, baby and family. You ll recognise and respond to factors that affect the physical, emotional and social well-being of mothers and babies, too.
