Curriculum Structure

Year 1:

This hands-on preparation ensures you feel confident before stepping into real-life clinical placements.

Year 2:
Year two is about building on that foundation and taking your skills further in more complex placements. You’ll explore Intrapartum Care (labour and birth) and Midwifery Public Health, learning how to support women and families in both clinical and community settings. You’ll also develop your ability to make evidence-based decisions and reflect critically on your practice.

Year 3:
In your final year, you take the lead in providing care, managing births and supporting families through postnatal care. You’ll complete advanced modules such as Postnatal and Newborn Care and Professional Practice and Leadership, gaining the confidence to work autonomously.
