BSc Hons Midwifery

3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of Chester

Program Overview

The BSc Midwifery course is designed to prepare you to become a midwife who is competent in universal care during the childbearing continuum, who can recognise when additional care needs are required, and work as part of an interdisciplinary and multi-agency team. As a student midwife, you will develop the skills to become a resilient, kind, caring, reflective, lifelong learner who can apply a wide range of evidence-based knowledge to underpin your professional practice across the childbearing continuum. The curriculum is designed around an increasing complexity throughout each year of the course, using case-based modules that enable you to develop as a creative practitioner to combine skills of critical thinking, clinical reasoning and problem solving.
