Program Overview

If you’re someone who genuinely wants to support adults through every stage of their health journey, Bangor’s Adult Nursing BN (Hons) gives you everything you need to step confidently into the profession. Curriculum structure

Year 1:
Your first year focuses on building a strong foundation in nursing. Through modules like NAB1201 and NAB1202, you explore human anatomy and physiology, essential adult-care skills, and the professional values that all nurses must uphold. Alongside classroom learning, you also begin supervised placements, allowing you to apply your new skills with real patients from the start.

Year 2:
In Year 2, the course moves into more advanced adult-care topics. You learn about medicines management, caring for long-term conditions, and using evidence-informed practice to guide your decisions. Your placements become broader and more challenging, giving you the confidence to take on more responsibility in both community and hospital settings.

Year 3:
Your final year prepares you for life as a registered nurse. You study complex patient care, leadership, and transition-to-practice modules that help you step into the role with confidence. Your last set of placements is designed to bring everything together — developing your clinical judgement, independence, and readiness for NMC registration.
