This course focuses on preparing adult nurses to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and address inequalities and social injustices that often contribute to health disparities and reduced well-being.

During the course, you will have the opportunity to grow into a competent and self-assured adult nurse with critical thinking skills. You will learn to provide support, empowerment, and advocacy for the individuals under your care, thereby positively influencing their health and well-being outcomes.

Throughout your studies, you will actively engage with current research and develop a strong understanding of how to promote health and educate individuals on adopting healthier lifestyles. You will acquire the knowledge and skills needed to assess, lead, coordinate, and deliver compassionate, sensitive, and culturally sensitive care to individuals and their families in various settings, including home, community, and hospital environments.

Your education will encompass therapeutic interventions and the pharmacological management of diseases, including the safe administration of medications.

To enhance your clinical skills, you will have the opportunity to practice in a safe and controlled environment. This will involve teaching sessions in dedicated facilities such as clinical suites, simulated clinical settings, and replicated community environments. The use of virtual reality software and digital health technologies will further augment your learning experience.

Collaboration and shared learning with students from related disciplines will foster your appreciation for the contributions of other healthcare professionals to individuals' care and health outcomes. Additionally, service users and carers will play an important role in your education by sharing their lived experiences of health and social care services.

For the old GCSE system we require grade C or above and for the new GCSE grading system we will accept grade 4 or higher in both English Language and Maths, A Levels, BTECs and accredited Access courses, value highly the experience you illustrate in your personal statement, IELTS 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.

Upon completion of the course, you will be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and experiences necessary to excel as an adult nurse, providing high-quality care that addresses the diverse needs of individuals while promoting their overall health and well-being.
