The Children’s pathway of this course provides you with an equally weighted dual field qualification in both Children’s Nursing and your second chosen field, which you will decide upon application. In Years 1-3 you will complete 360 credits whilst following the BN programme for Children’s Nursing, in which you will learn to become a flexible practitioner who can care for children, young people and their families, and deliver person-centred care. The Children’s Nurse specialises in caring for children in a variety of settings, as part of an interprofessional approach to care. The work of a Children’s Nurse can range from caring for a sick new-born baby, to observing the development of a child. It can also involve caring for teenagers with complex physical or psychological needs, or a young person who has injured themselves.
Overall grade of 65% or above in Standard XII from: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE), International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). A Level: 120 points from GCE A Levels. Typical offer BBB.
Successful graduates are able to apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
