This year strengthens your confidence in both adult and mental health care while developing your critical thinking and decision-making.

Year 3
The third year focuses on leadership, clinical decision-making, and advanced practice. Modules like Prescribing Ready equip you with knowledge for safe medicines management, while Advancing Leadership and Supervision prepares you to mentor and support other healthcare professionals. Practice Learning 3 Adult Nurse consolidates your skills in complex care situations, getting you ready for professional registration.

Year 4
In your final year, you concentrate on mental health nursing with advanced, level 7 content. You’ll take Practice Learning 3 Mental Health Nurse and Applied Sciences in Mental Health Field, applying both clinical and theoretical knowledge to challenging mental health scenarios. You’ll also complete Engaging with Masters Study, building the academic skills you need for postgraduate learning and lifelong professional development.
